"While at first glance, this might seem like a very straightforward assignment, it was anything but easy. The Portland site was scheduled for closure in September of 2007, and hiring, as well as retaining employees through several temporary agencies for a long period of time was a challenge. ESM rose up to this challenge, and assigned Jody Naff to the site on a temporary basis. Jody had the ideal qualities to drive success for this site – strong on site management background, excellent communication skills, strategic planning, analytical skills, and the ability to build rapport and relationships with temp employees as well as demanding senior Operations leaders.
"Not only was the program successful in managing the attrition experienced by 3-6 different agencies' employees, but ESM did an extraordinary job of managing our hires so thatafter a few short months of "hiccups" they consistently had start rates of over 100% and developed a system of providing backup agents in case individuals failed to show up for their first day of training.
